Free Bridge Lessons Offered to Local Students
- 11-5-2009
- Categorized in: Lifestyle
(November 5, 2009) -- The non-profit North Jersey Bridge Association (NJBA) is offering free bridge lessons to students in grades 6-12 with trained teachers through schools, libraries and community centers in northern New Jersey and Rockland County areas.
Students in grades 6 through 12 can enjoy learning this challenging game with 12 to 16 hours of beginners’ lessons taught by trained bridge teachers at no cost to students or the schools.
To participate in the program, a sponsoring teacher or program director must be available to work with the bridge teacher to recruit students, help with supervision and communicate with parents. Lessons are usually held after-school for 1 hour 30 min. Adjustments can be made to the schedule as needed.
Groups that would like to participate in the NJBA program should contact Susan Koster at 201-529-8083.
