HP announces Suffern is first “Green + Print Community”
- 10-30-2009
- Categorized in: Business
HP cordially invites you to participate in this ‘first ever’ program, right here in Suffern and Town of Ramapo, NY!
HP has launched the first ever “Green + Print Community” in Village of Suffern and The Town of Ramapo, NY. As part of the program, HP will announce its new HP Eco Solution -- the HP LaserJet P2055d printer, and pay tribute to the select Suffern businesses and community entities who have embraced the 'go green print' plan to become HP's first ever Green + Print Community! HP and its partner, ASI System Integration, are helping Suffern businesses and community entities make changes to how they print green, reduce costs of printing, save resources like energy and paper and deliver these results to reach local environmental goals.
HP looks forward to honoring the Village of Suffern and the Town of Ramapo, NY on November 9th at the Lafayette Theater, for the example they've set for the rest of the country, as the first U.S. community to Go Green+Print at this level of printing and partnership.
As part of the “Green + Print Community Program,” select businesses have or will receive a free printer network assessment, and will be asked to take steps to print more ‘green,’ on their current printer network. As a thank you, and to support the local business commitment to going green, select businesses will receive a new HP Officejet Pro Wireless , Premium Web Printer, or New LaserJet P2055d printer – free of charge. The P2055d is an eco solution from HP, and the new Inkjet Web Premium printer will allow easy printing from the web, without requiring a computer! HP’s Suffern/Town of Ramapo Merchant/Business and Storefront program will include the installation of their new printer. The Inkjet Web Premium printer will be preset with websites of local businesses, including local news from www.ramapotimes.com and www.suzysaid.com , the Rockland County edition. This web printer will benefit businesses as they utilize the printer for their customer service experience, merchandising and other business needs.
Additionally, HP will ask a number of merchants and business storefronts to hang a local/regional artist’s work in their window to showcase the artist’s work and benefits of another HP eco solution, a large format print technology with solvent inks and on eco-friendly materials. We are hopeful your business will be one of those to display engaging images! From these images, and the banners we will hang at the Lafayette, HP will also recycle the materials and create Tote Bags that select merchants, boutiques, salons, and other Suffern businesses can give out to customers instead of plastic!
HP’s printing team is committed to helping Suffern and Town of Ramapo Businesses find ways, through print, to promote, market and manage their business in an environmentally responsible “green” manner.
Please join Hewlet Packard as we celebrate Suffern and the Town of Ramapo’s commitment to ‘hit print responsibly’ with HP’s Go Green + Print Press Conference
