Meet our new galpal Joan.  She has recently tried the newest in bakery items at Just Buns in Congers on Lake Road.  Suzy has been meaning to get there but Joan beat us to the punch and kindly wrote a review of her fabulous experience.  Check it out, apparently it's all the rage and now Suzy REALLY can't wait to get her sticky bun groove on!

If you're a foodie like me you must check out this new place in Congers- Just Buns @ 33 Lake Road.  The "swirly buns" are insanely good!!   Setting is adorable, reminds me of NYC type of place. No seating available but very warm & inviting. These buns are so unique in taste hard to describe. Very lite & fluffy....lots of flavors too.  I tried a Chocolate, Almond & Cinnamon & Peanut Butter & Jelly - they were unreal. I got them right out of the oven too!   Have some other items as well, I tried a breakfast pocket, pretty much like an empanada, delicious, I had the egg, bacon & cheese but the swirly buns in my opinion are the star attraction!!‎  I chatted it up with one of the owners & she explained to me this is a secret family receipe, everything is homemade on site.  I brought some buns home to my husband. 

Suzy did make it there after Joan and it all holds true – they are sick! And addictive!  And we wish they were closer to the other side of the county, but then again, if that was the case that diet would be shot out the window.  So worth the trip..  But get there early on the wkds, all flavors sell out quickly.
