Seven Arrested in Undercover Drug Sweep Operation in Suffern

The following defendants were arrested and charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a class B Felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class B Felony. They were charged after a several month investigation by the Suffern Police Department and the Rockland County Narcotics Task Force. The United States Marshals Service NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force assisted in the arrests as did Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
All defendants were sent to the Rockland County Jail without bail and were being held on sealed indictments from the Rockland County Court, two of them were being held in the Bergen County, NJ Jail awaiting arraignment.
1. Juan Utreda: 23 yrs. old: 56 Orange Ave., Suffern, NY.
2. Carlos Garcia: 18 yrs. old: 72 B Washington Ave., Suffern, NY .
3. Edwin Marrufo: 35 Prairie Ave., Suffern, NY .
4. Michael O’Keefe: 23 yrs. old: 111 North Magnolia St., Pearl River, NY.
5. Alfredo Minchala Torres: 39 yrs. old: 29 Memorial Park Dr., Spring Valley, NY.
6. Conrado Salas: 34 yrs. old: 260 Franklin Turnpike, Mahwah, NJ. Being held in the Bergen County, NJ Jail awaiting extradition
7. Juan Leon: 33 yrs. old: 1 Rolling Ridge Ave., Apt. D, Montvale, NJ. Being held in the Bergen County, NJ jail awaiting extradition.
