Suffern, NY - Study "Monuments of French History" or “Theatre and Performing Arts in London” in Europe this summer with SUNY Rockland Community College. RCC is able to offer the highest quality programming at the most cost effective price. The courses earn three credits and are estimated to cost $3,300. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due with application. Students must apply through the Sam Draper Mentor/Talented (M/TS) Honors Program office at RCC. Although the course is credit bearing, participants may opt to take the course without academic credit. RCC also encourages applications from adult learners who are keen to travel and explore, but who do not require academic credit. Monuments of French History (HIS 257—3 Credits) Cost: $3,300. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due with application by March 31 The course traces major events in history, politics, law, religion as well as economic, architectural and intellectual trends, using guided visits to monuments. You will explore French History by visiting places such as the Louvre, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, The Palace of Versailles, Napoleon's Tomb, the Egouts (Sewers) and more. Participants will stay at the Concorde Montparnasse, Paris. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due with application by March 31 Students will attend workshops and several plays in London’s famous West End, the Reconstructed Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and Pub Theatre. There will also be tours of well-known sites such as the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, the National Theatre and more.
