Suffern Chamber of Commerce Announces a Music & Arts Festival
- 4-14-2009
- Categorized in: Suffern Music and Arts Festival
Mark your calendar! September 5th & 6th, 2009 brings an amazing, seismic event to town: The First Annual Suffern Music and Arts Festival!
Rapid progress is being made, organizational meetings have been held and excitement is building. Most amazing of all so far is the can-do spirit exhibited by The Village of Suffern, The Suffern Chamber of Commerce and the all-volunteer organizing committee.
The Village of Suffern's Mayor and Board of Trustees voted 5-0 in favor of this event and then went even further. The Village has backed this event by providing access to and expertise from the Police Department, Department of Public Works and the Recreation Department.
A number of Suffern Chamber of Commerce members are already on board and the volunteerism and willingness to get involved displayed by members of this community is truly inspiring.
The Rotary club has stepped forward and offered their members as volunteers and an overwhelming number of talented people from Suffern are lending their talents and expertise to make this festival a success for all.
Ramapo Times is in the process of interviewing many of the volunteers and will highlight their contributions in the coming weeks and months leading up to this amazing event. Be sure to read Kevin Czerwinski's profile on Music Director Russ Gurney.
Stay tuned, we're just getting warmed up.
