Medical Supplies From Ramapo arrive in Haiti
Working in conjunction with the Rockland Paramedics, Partners In Health and the United Nations – medical supplies from Ramapo were flown to Haiti on Sunday, January 17th.
To Better Coordinate our Town-wide Relief Efforts, please review the following information:
- I. Preferred items to be collected based on current needs in Haiti
1) Monetary Donations *
2) Medications, bandages, insect repellent
3) Personal hygiene items – soap, toothpaste, hand sanitzers
4) Non-perishable food items, i.e., water, canned foods
*NO CLOTHES OR OTHER NON-ESSENTIAL ITEMS PLEASE!!*
- II. Town of Ramapo Drop-Off Points
1) Ramapo Town Hall
2) Ramapo Cultural Arts Center
3) Haitian Task Force Office – (Cultural Arts Center in Spring Valley)
4) HTI Building – Torne Valley
- III. Recommended Local Organizations Accepting Monetary Donations
1) Ramapo Haitian Task Force
2) Rockland Haitian Relief Campaign
Recommended International Organizations Accepting Monetary Donations
1) Partners In Health
2) The American Red Cross
(Any checks brought to Town Hall will be forwarded to “Partners In Health” and the “American Red Cross”)
