Suzy Said M.I.A. from the Seismic Slimdown

Saturday July 11th was day two of training for the Suffern Music and Arts Festival's Seismic Slimdown.
Including me, seven of nine 'official' participants showed up at the Community Center for what some (not me of course) would describe as a grueling workout.
One participant hand to work on Saturday so we can accept that as a reasonable excuse. Besides it helps to thin out the herd so to speak. Also M.I.A. was Townsend Jordan. Apparently she had some official SMAF business to attend to so again no harm done.
What we all want to know is what happened to Kelly Miller of Suzysaid.com? This is a very tough group of people and trash talking aside, we are all holding each other accoutable so we are, as a group, calling Kelly out.
Personally I'd like to call Kelly out as well. You scared? Huh? Are you? Are you? Are you? How about a little side wager, what do you say?
Back to Saturday. The workout was definitely more difficult. Rich DiSanto of trainwithrich.com offered some excellent advice to the group and then got us going with more intensity that the first session. As predicted this is going to build up each week and I'm confident that by the end I'll be one of the few still standing.
The trash talking was still there and I'm convinced that there is a concerted effort of the part of the female participants to wear down my resolve. One of the quieter participants threw a few shots my way but overall people are far too tired halfway through to expend energy on talking.
I walked the 1.1 miles from my home to the community center and when the session was over, I walked down to the Suffern Farmer's Market with Tara Agen, SMAF Chairperson. It was nice to see the throngs that turned out to enjoy the sunshine and the fresh produce.
The hard part was walking home. On Lafayette Avenue, near the Salvation Army almost at the top of the hill, I could have used a small push. The hill is much more enjoyable on the way down that it is after a SMAF Seismic Workout.
Yes folks, I'm still in it and I'm in it to win it!

Rich:
You defintely are the focal point of some fun verbal jabs and as evidenced by the last two workouts, you can take it and of course, return the favor.
Looking forward to the class tomorrow night.
All the best....Rich DiSanto from TrainwithRich.com
Well Rich,
I take your call out and raise it a tetherball game (ok i feel like i am in camp!) I fully intend to jump into the action when my schedule of life, 3 consulting gigs, a 2 year old and husband allow me to. Believe me i can use the workout (sans the walk home up the same hill as you, i like the comfy ride of my jeep thank you very much). So with this out there for the world, or county at least to see, i vow to attend, ahh eventually. We just happen to be pretty popular people over the summer, so let me get back to you on exact dates ;-)
Keep checking out the SMAF articles on the Around Town page of www.suzysaid.com/rockland for a WOMAN's POV on the Slimdown. Don't worry Richard, it looks as if you are keeping up!
