The Town of Ramapo Big Screen Classic Film Festival began its eighth season on March 13th, at the Lafayette Theater in Suffern, starting at 11:30 AM. This popular series gives moviegoers the unique opportunity to experience classic films, in the glory of 35mm film on the silver screen. West Nyack: The singing artistic director from Rockland, Lynn Stein, and the bass virtuoso from Yonkers, Jon Burr, team up for a special afternoon concert. The duo will perform soulful re-interpretations from the American Songbook, 60’s Pop and contemporary jazz. Burr, on acoustic bass, has worked with Tony Bennett, Chet Baker, Stephane Grappelli, Barbara Cook and others, and Stein returns to her musical roots as a vocalist and performer. Full Article
