Hudson Lyric Opera Serves Up A Halloween Treat With Its New Production Of Gounod's “FAUST”

The Hudson Lyric Opera opens its fifth consecutive season with a tour-de-force. In selecting Gounod’s, “Faust” for this year’s production, the opera company has entered the realm of Grand Opera with a capital “G”.

Rockland County, NY-based composer, pianist and percussionist John McDowell (www.johnmcdowell.net) teams up with Canadian violinist Emmanuel Vukovich, cellist Julia MacLaine (www.juliamaclaine.com), and string bass player Evan Premo (www.evanpremo.com) to create the musical ensemble Music For Farms which will perform a concert entitled “A Musical Harvest” at the lovely, wood-paneled Threefold Auditorium at 260 Hungry Hollow Road, Chestnut Ridge, NY on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 8pm.

Glass Fusing Workshop at Rockland Center for the Arts

This is a hands-on introductory class to the fusing process, with no prior experience needed. You have seen beautiful glass platters in galleries, now design your own! We will briefly discuss the types of glass used in fusing and the workings of kilns. You will then create your own unique glass to be fused into a sheet.

Clifford Theater Workshop Presents Cinderella August 6th & 7th

On Friday and Saturday, August 6 and 7, at 7:00 p.m., in the auditorium at the Suffern Village Hall, you will be entertained by the culmination of a five-week summer program. 

RoCA Exhibition: On Earth: Ceramic Sculpture Exploring Nature and the Built Environment
