The Alpha Phi Delta Italian Heritage Fraternity and Alpha Omicron Pi’s Women’s Fraternity raised $720 for the Ramapo Valley County Reservation on March 29 with Preserve the Magic, a comedy-hypnosis fundraiser.
The event featured comedian Peter Juris, of Magical Mayhem, who began the evening with magic tricks. After a brief intermission, with an address by Bergen County Park Superintendent Todd Cochran, Juris performed an hour long hypnosis session with several Ramapo students.
“The night to me was a huge success,” said Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity Philanthropy Chair Marc Syslo ’12 of Brick, NJ. “The hypnosis show was like nothing I have ever seen before and I was so grateful for all the different groups who came together to make the event possible.”
The proceeds will be used to help restore the roof of the spring house at the entrance of the Reservation.
