Two Stony Point Candidate Debates: October 18 & November 1, 2011

The Stony Point Action Committee for the Environment, SPACE will be sponsoring TWO Stony Point Candidate Debates for all candidates running for the positions of Stony Point Town Supervisor, Town Council, and County Legislator on:

TUESDAY, October 18, 2011

TUESDAY, November 1, 2011

TIME: 7:30 pm (doors open at 7pm)

WHERE: Stony Point Community Center, Clubhouse Lane; (Rho Building; Letchworth)

These candidate forums have been very successful and always well attended. We believe that this public exchange of ideas is important to our democracy, during an election year, as it helps to inform voters. We also appreciate the candidates' willingness to participate.

A well informed voter is important. We're interested in YOUR questions.

You can submit your suggested questions in advance by mailing them to:

E-MAIL your questions to: info@stonypointer.org with the subject line "CANDIDATE QUESTION."

* Members of the public will also have the opportunity to submit written questions for the candidates on 4x6 index cards on the evening of the debates.

Volunteers: Participate in Democracy. We need YOUR help

Can you help us for about one hour with any of the following:

- labeling and putting postage stamps on postcard mailing

- post debate fliers in town and leave postcards in local stores, libraries, businesses, etc. (contact us for postcards)

- print copies of the attached letter-sized flier (PDF) and post it in your BUSINESS, CHURCH, CLUB, MEETING ROOM, LOBBY, etc.

- also need help the night of the debate, including setting up room, cleaning up, etc.
